It had been about 14 months since the state of Texas had reported no COVID-19 related deaths. The streak was recently broken as the entire state was able to report a big-ole fat ZERO in the COVID-19 related death column. Governor Greg Abbott tweeted out:

AGAIN, this was on Sunday, May 16th web zero deaths were reported
Fortunately, there are no deaths to report. The current number of deaths remains at 2,590

This news comes on the heels of the CDC announcing that fully vaccinated adults don't need to wear masks anymore. Of course, this doesn't mean that you can just go into any business and not worry about a mask. If the business still requires you to wear a mask, just wear a g**damn mask. It's not that difficult. I've said this at least a dozen times during this pandemic, but it's the same thing as "no shirt, no shoes, no service."

So please, stop and think of how stupid it is to go into a business and throw a fit that they still require you to wear a mask. Did you do this about shirts and shoes? Were you just walking around in swim trunks, going from store to store complaining that you weren't getting service because the business was infringing on your rights by requiring you to wear shoes and a shirt? Seriously, don't be an a-hole. Just wear a mask if it's required.
