If you didn't know, February 7th is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. Get educated, get tested, get involved, get treated and become empowered.

16 years ago the National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day initiative  was introduced to bring education, awareness and to mobilize the African American community. There are four key areas of focus, which are:

  • Get Educated about HIV and AIDS
  • Get Involved in the community prevention efforts
  • Get Tested to know their status
  • Get Treated and receive the continuum of care needed to live with HIV/AIDS

Here are a few events going on in Texas. These site will provide free testing as well as information and resources.
