With the UMHB Crusaders punching another ticket to Salem, Virginia for the NCAA Division III National Championship game, you know everyone who loves the Cru is trying to find a way to get there for the action.

That includes local sports writer Tony Adams.

Tony is a sports editor for the Belton Journal, and also calls the softball and baseball games for the Belton Tigers on KTEM Newsradio 1400.

Last year, when UMHB went to the National Championship for the first time since 2004, Tony was able to make the trip to Salem and provide coverage of the game thanks to generous donations from the Central Texas community.

Tony needs our help again.

We're asking anyone who knows Tony and the hard work he puts into local sports coverage, or anyone who wants to help get a local perspective on UMHB's national championship appearance, to donate to a PayPal account in his name.

We would try the GoFundMe route, but it takes a week to get the money from that source. If we raise enough money for Tony to be able to go, he would need the money in hand as soon as possible to secure tickets, a place to stay, and other necessities.

Everyone involved in local sports knows Tony and how passionate he is about calling, photographing, and reporting on youth athletics in Central Texas. Chances are, he's taken some of your favorite photos of your kids or grand kids in action on the field.

Please donate today and help Tony get the best coverage of your UMHB Crusaders!
