The Texas Longhorns and Rice Owls will play for the 95th time this Saturday.  With Texas being favored to win as they usually are the Owls can look to the words of a former president for inspiration.

John F. Kennedy has many famous quotes, "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country". Usually, folks get a word or two wrong in that one. There is one lesser-known quote from a speech at Rice Stadium that was made this week 57-years ago ESPN writes.

On September 12th, 1962, JFK addressed a crowd of 45,000 with the message of the United States becoming the first nation to land on the moon.

"But why, some say, the moon? Why choose this as our goal? And they may well ask why climb the highest mountain? Why, 35 years ago, fly the Atlantic? Why does Rice play Texas? We choose to go to the moon. We choose to go to the moon and in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy but because they are hard."

Now, while Texas will most likely come out on top Saturday night, never say never because every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.
