Texas is the second most populace and land rich state in the United States and overwhelmingly the benefits completely outweigh the risks in just about every possible, measurable metric you can imagine, but there are still two cities within the Texas Triangle that ranks at the top of the most dangerous list for the country.

Even though I have never lived in either of these two Texas cities, I have lived in two of the top 15, including the 2nd most dangerous city in the entire United States. When you look at the complete list, you really have to start wondering what is in the water of the Mississippi River.

How wild is it that 4 of the top 11 worst cities to live are all on the Mississippi River?!? The two Texas cities to make the top 25 include a close neighbor to New Orleans, the Buyou City of Houston at #19, and San Antonio at #22.

The debate over what makes these cities more dangerous than others of similar size, or geographical proximity can go on forever. Having lived in a few of these cities, I can tell you I was never the victim of a crime, and believe it or not, I did not commit any crimes in those cities either.
