Kanye West is apparently getting more than spiritual help from his pastor, Adam Tyson.

Speaking about the legitimacy of Kanye's turn to God on an Oct. 4 episode of The Pure Flix podcast, the pastor claimed that West has asked him for help tweaking and clarifying lyrics for songs he's possibly recorded for his Jesus is King album. According to Tyson, the help he provides starts with listening to 'Ye, who told him that he wants to use all of his resources to make songs for Jesus.

"So he wants me to listen to different lyrics, different songs, and help tweak parts of it where I'll hear parts of it in the studio and I am like, 'Hey, man I'm not sure what you are trying to say right here, this to me is a little fussy, what are you trying to say," Tyson said.

He continued, "And he will tell me what he is trying to say and I will be like well I don't understand it maybe you can say it a little differently or be careful here. It's not like I am writing the song, it's all of his work, he's the complete creative kind of guy, he's the musician, I am just making comments."

Tyson clarified that he was not responsible for writing Kanye's LP, but instead that he was an advisor of sorts making sure Yeezy was getting the correct message across.

During the nearly 32-minute interview, Tyson gave insight into West's religious exploration while confirming that Kanye's faith was strong and real.

The podcast was uploaded one week after Jesus Is King was initially supposed to be released. The LP was originally scheduled for release on Sept. 27 but after a full 24-hours of fans waiting for its release and a report claiming Kanye changes the album every time he plays it, the project reportedly doesn't have a release date.
