The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

C&H Hawaiian Grill

According to their website, C&H Hawaiian Grill's Hensan and Cora Timo opened the Fort Hood street location in 2004 after relocating to Killeen from Portland, Oregon to be close to their two sons who had enlisted in the U.S. Army and were assigned to Fort Hood.

A second location was opened in Copperas Cove in 2014, and a brand new location just opened in Harker Heights in March of this year.

C&H Hawaiian Grill Menu

C&H Hawaiian Grill offers a great cuisine of Hawaiian favorites. Their menu features a mix of beef, pork and chicken plates plus island favorites that include spam and eggs.

The good news is that nobody was injured during the fire and an investigation is underway to determine the cause. The bad news - they'll be closed for a while, so regular customers may have to travel to the new Harker Heights location to get their Hawaiian favorites.

Top 20 Restaurants Central Texans Wish Would Come to Temple

A while back, I asked the good people of Temple if they could picture a good restaurant to fill the lot on North General Bruce Drive where the soon to be torn down Long John Silver's stood.

This was before it was announced that a Dutch Bros. Coffee location would open there (which was one of the places I predicted as a contender in our article).

So now Dutch Bros. is open in that spot, but the responses to my survey were interesting because they paint a picture of just how diverse Temple's population is. People recommended some familiar restaurants with locations in the surrounding area, but also a few I'd never even heard of.

Here are the top 20 results of the survey. Let's see what the good people of Temple are craving!
