Killeen ISD is preparing to help families whose kids might go hungry during the summer with its Free Summer Feeding Program.

The District announced the details on its Facebook page on Thursday, letting families know that the free summer feeding program will serve free breakfast and lunch to kids ages 1-18 beginning June 1st.

Families will be able to grab and go both breakfast and lunch at 12 KISD locations across the district from 8:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Monday through Thursday.

KISD's current COVID-19 feeding sites will close on May 29 and meals will not be served June 29 through July 2nd.

Also, Killeen ISD's online pre-registration for returning students and Pre-K and Kindergarten Round Up is open right now. For more details on that CLICK HERE.

Once again, thanks to all the hard working teachers and folks in our school districts especially our school nutrition workers who've been keeping our kids fed all throughout this pandemic.
