Killeen Shopping Center Locked Down After Shots Fired
UPDATE 6:07pm: KWTX is reporting police have indeed shot and killed a gunman at the Killeen Marketplace late this afternoon. Officers stopped a suspect running outside the T-Moblie store before exchanging gunfire with the man. The suspect died as a result of injuries at the scene. One officer taken to the hospital, but his injuries did not come as a result of the shooting.
KWTX is reporting a Killeen shopping center is on lock down after reports of shots fired this afternoon near 3200 E. Central Texas Expressway.
KWTX is reporting that a woman who was in the Ross Dress for Less store witnessed a police officer pull up outside the store and then she heard gunfire. She did not witness any gunfire.
The shopping center on lock down is also known as the Killeen Marketplace. Police are still responding to this incident. More details as they become available. Please stay clear of this area until police give the all clear.
