Killeen Substitute Teacher Reprimanded For Not Allowing Elementary Student To Use Restroom
A substitution teacher at Cedar Valley Elementary School in Killeen has been barred from a particular classroom after officials say a child was denied a bathroom break and soiled herself.
As reported by KWTX, the sub's actions violated Killeen ISD standards, and they will not be allowed to teach in that classroom for the remainder of the school year.
The school leadership already has met with the parent and apologized that the child was not allowed to go to the restroom. The school leadership moved very quickly in this case to deal with the issue and to resolve the parent’s concerns,” Killeen ISD spokesman Terry Abbott wrote in a statement Wednesday.
According to Abbott, KISD officials also interviewed students after allegations that the student in question was bullied. Abbott said no evidence of bullying was discovered.
