Every day is a good day to give to non-profits and charities but the Salvation Army is taking over Tuesday's and making it extra special.

The Salvation Army of Waco has teamed up with select Schlotzsky’s locations to coin Tuesday's as 'Giving Tuesday'. 10% of every purchase made at Schlotzsky’s N. Valley Mills Drive and Speight Avenue location will be donated back to the Salvation Army of Waco.

What's the perk?

Customers also have a chance to win a brand new grill by just stopping in on 'Giving Tuesday'. With every purchase the customers name will be added to the red kettle for the official drawing that will take place at a later date.
It's no secret that around this time of year the Salvation Army presence is felt heavy in the community. Typically the Salvation Army has red kettles placed around the community where people can donate to help those in need.

According to KWTX and Major Taylor from The Salvation Army monetary donations and volunteers are always the biggest help. Both provide income that goes to helping those in the community with utility bills, mortgage payments, groceries, etc. Volunteers are always needed and accepted. The more volunteers the more red kettles will be placed around the neighborhood.
This free drawing is a way to thank the community for their support so everyone is encouraged to participate.

If at this time you're unable to purchase at participating Schlotzsky’s other great ways such as Toy for Tots and monetary donations can go a long way as well.
