KWTX's Justin Earley reported that Waco emergency teams were responding to a fire Tuesday night, and ended up dealing with something much more bizarre.

Waco fire crews arrived on the call of an apartment fire on Tuesday night around 8:00 p.m., in the 800 block of Concord on Tuesday night in Waco.

Waco Fire Department issued a tweet saying the sprinkler system helped to contain the fire to the room where it began, but somehow someone became impaled to a fence that was close by.

The condition of the man found impaled on the fence was not released, but he was freed from the fence and taken to Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest for his injuries.
