Houston, Texas authorities just announced the seizure of over a million dollars worth of drugs and guns from a major multi-agency sting that was operating in an apartment complex in the northwest portion of the metro.

Among the arrested were undocumented aliens that were handed over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and it is believed all of the people arrested are tied to a very dangerous Venezuelan gang.

Among the drugs that were seized in this massive operation that took almost a year of undercover investigation include over 230 pounds of marijuana, 26 pounds of meth, and around 15 pounds of cocaine. The suspects are believed to be linked to, or members of, the Tren de Aragua gang from Venezuela.

According to this KHOU article, this was the largest drug bust in the history of the 1st precinct of the Harris County Constables, and they worked alongside the Texas Department of Public Safety to utilize undercover agents over the course of about a year.

New Texas Gang And Drug Bust Scores Massive Haul

At least three of the more than twenty guns that were seized are known to be stolen, and investigations into their possible previous use is ongoing. During the course of the investigation, authorities recognized immediately this was a major operation because as many as 30 cars per hour were pulling into this apartment complex to participate in the drug activity.

Amber Alerts are not issued for all missing children. In 2023 for example, Texas issued 49 Amber Alerts. According to NBCDFW, of the 183 total Amber Alerts issued in the United States in 2023, 26% of cases were resolved successfully. Below are some of the cases you never hear about.
