Nurses Week 2020: 3 Free Ways To Show A Nurse You Care
National Nurses Week is approaching and we have to do it B-I-G!
These last couple of months have been a test of time for nurses all over so it's only right that we show the people on the front line some love.
National Nurses Week begins May 6th and ends on May 12th. Usually, this is the time that nurses are recognized for their hard-work and dedication but for some reason I have a feeling that this years love will exceed all the others.
Restaurant and stores are already showing their appreciation for nurses and healthcare workers by giving discounts, free food, free necessities and free shoes. Crocs, Adidas, Hooters and so many more are rolling out the deals.
So what can the community do to show their appreciation?
Of course times are hard right now so i'm not expecting for anyone to go and cash out on a nurse but here are 3 things that you can do to show your appreciation for a nurse this week...
1) Send an encouraging text message or social media message to a nurse or healthcare worker. Let them know you appreciate them! Words of encouragement are free.
2) On your next grocery store visit grab some construction paper and create a heartfelt card. Drop them off to your local hospital.
3) Make a social media post encouraging your friends to do the same.
