Wednesday's shooting comes the day after a tragic murder-suicide that happened in Killeen late Tuesday night.

According to police, a couple was involved in a domestic dispute in the 3900 block of Tatonka Drive when officers were dispatched to the scene around 11:54 PM. When they arrived, a man was inside the garage of the couple's home, where he turned a gun on himself.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the man and his wife had been arguing when the man brandished a handgun and used it to fatally shoot the woman. The man used the same weapon to take his own life.

To make matters worse, three children were inside the home when all of this was happening. Thankfully, police say they were not physically harmed, though you can imagine the sort of impact something like this would have on children.

Killeen police also announced Wednesday that a suspect had been taken into custody following a shooting on Watercrest that happened early Sunday morning. More on that here.
