Parks In Belton, Texas Closing Soon Due To Construction
BELTON, TEXAS - One thing we can all agree on is that road construction seems to always happen at the most inconvenient times. Even when it's planned, it always gets in the way. This is especially true in Texas, where everything is bigger, including roads of course.
But everything deteriorates as time passes, and needs replacing. Infrastructure being one of top things needing upkeep now and again. Recently, road construction in Belton has started, and with that, certain areas have been hard to get to.
According to KWTX, lake parks in Belton will temporarily close down to help with the fixing of roads the city. This will also include boat ramps. The closures of Arrowhead Point and Miller Springs will continue, while Live Oak Ridge and Temple’s Lake Park will close on October 1, 2022.
The announcement by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers also came with plans to reopen the previously mentioned parks in March 0f 2023.
As previously mentioned, it is sad that parks in Belton will be closed a for a little while due to roads being not safe for driving at this current time. But it is encouraging that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is taking people's safety into account.
From a new residents perspective however, I haven't had much time to walk around Belton's parks. A combination of getting used to my new home and the Texas heat being rather annoying to walk around has kept me from walking around.
Looks like some of us will have to wait until next year to see Texas in less heated conditions.
