Refuge Mobile Food Pantry is all set to distribute free food Saturday morning.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Refuge Mobile Food Pantry has been coming up with ways to serve their community. This Saturday they're back at it again with drive thru service.

Food distribution will begin at 9 AM with cars being able to pull up, pop their trunk and go. In order to follow the social distancing guidelines, they are asking that all attendees remain in the car and follow the no touch rules.

Registration for the event will be conducted verbally through your car window, so don't worry about that. If you and your family are in need of food assistance during this difficult time, know that Refuge is doing their best to keep you and yours safe.

Again, it's all happening Saturday, May 16, from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM.  They'll be distributing the food at Christian House of Prayer, 3300 East Stan Schlueter Loop in Killeen.

The Refuge Mobile Food Pantry is part of the Central Texas Food Bank, which has always done a fantastic job of serving the Central Texas community and those who need help accessing nutritious food. They go out of their way to treat everyone they serve with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Times have been tough lately in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, so we hope those in need of some help right now will head to this weekend's event.
