Temple, Texas has grown exponentially as more businesses continue to move here. With more people moving to the area too, the city's only going to keep growing to make sure there's room for everybody. That means more restaurants, shopping centers, and ways for people to entertain themselves.

But while there are many things that are being built in Temple and across Bell County to accommodate new neighbors and opportunities, there's one building that's been standing on a hill for decades, serving as a part of the Bell County skyline that's unmissable and unmistakable.

Baylor Scott & White Medical in Temple

The hospital first opened in 1897. Of course, it wasn't the mini city it is today. With time, innovation, and the improvements in health care, the organization has ballooned, and so have the hospital facilities. Many Scott and White buildings have come and gone through the decades, but those spires on South 31st street we all know and love have become a key part of Temple's character and identity.
