Services held for 41 year Shana Tedder, Temple native and Gatesville Corrections Officer who died during fight on duty

Shana Tedder, was laid to rest over the weekend at Killeen City Cemetery after suffering a fatal heart attack last week after an altercation involving a female offender and a male corrections officer at  Christina Melton Crain Unit in Gatesville.

She complained of shortness of breath after she assisted in subduing an inmate and later went to another area where she reportedly collapsed.

Tedder was a Temple native graduating from Temple High School and attending Prairie View University studying criminal justice.
