Massive Eatery With 470 Texas Locations Now Closing 240 Restaurants
Texas, without a doubt in my mind, is easily the epicenter of the greatest food choices not only for the United States, but the entire world because where else can you get to experience the glorious melting pot of this many cultures through food?

Back in early May, according to this Irish Star article, we were told that Wendy's was planning to shutter 100 restaurants over the coming months to be concluded by the end of the year.
Why is Wendy's now closing another 140 restaurants?
Even though the fast food giant has opened over 500 new restaurants in the past couple of years, learning that almost half that number will also be closed by the end of this year is very surprising. According to this Fox Business article, these stores are closing for not only being underperforming, but more importantly, outdated.
What will happen after nearly 250 Wendy's closes this year?
Wendy's pretty much just plans to cut the old looking locations, the underperforming restaurants, and just keep moving forward. According to this AOL article, Wendy's plans to continue to be aggressive about opening new restaurants next year too. The specific list of restaurants has not been announced, but will include closures all across the country.

It certainly appears that the plan for Wendy's moving forward is to cut ties with the unattractive old looking locations, and focus on cutting edge technology with restaurants providing more sex appeal. My family and I will certainly remain pleased with Wendy's if they make their $1 soft drink prices permanent.
