Texas Police Serve Thanksgiving Turkeys Instead of Traffic Violations
Remember when Texas police officers were handing out ice cream instead of traffic tickets during the dead heat of summer? Well with Thanksgiving just a week away, Texas officers from the Fort Worth area were dishing out turkeys in lieu of small traffic violations.
I mean, how awesome is that? Some of the recipients were extremely grateful for the (Turkey) leg up right before the holiday season. Others felt inclined to pay it forward and donate the turkey to a family more in need. Either way, the officers who handed out turkeys started a ripple effect of good deeds and for that, they should be commended.
In the end, Fort Worth officers distributed 25 turkeys around the city.
Fort Worth Police posted on Facebook about their mission on Wednesday afternoon.
Thank you officers for helping keep the peace and putting smiles on some faces this holiday season.
