Over 34,000 stolen avocados were piled into a refrigerated trailer, and it was traveling north up Interstate 35 via an 18 wheeler when a member of the Hill County Sheriff's Office was able to make a traffic stop based on a tip received from the Laredo Police Department.

Once the truck was apprehended, it was moved to a secure location, and all avocados were saved and transported to a refrigerated truck of the rightful owners. With any luck, they are already being eaten because nobody wants 34,000 overripe avocados.
