Texas Woman Beaten by Bartender Charged with Felony
When I first read the headline to this story I thought ..."oh hell nawww" but once I actually read the story...though I still call a little BS... but the law is the law.
About two weeks ago in Dallas in the Deep Ellum area, L' Dajohnique Lee was beaten by a bartender Austin Shuffield at a club- the attack, by the way, was captured on video and no one seemed to help the woman instead they wanted to film it..but that’s another story, for another day.
WFAA-TV reports that Shuffield was arrested for public intoxication and later charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon which is a second-degree felony in the state of Texas.
True she was beaten publicly and the bartender will have his day in court but Ms. Lee committed a crime as well, according to state law.
Out of revenge for her attack, Lee vandalized Shuffield's vehicle.
If you cause damage over $2500 in the state of Texas that is criminal mischief considered a state felony.
According to state law, she too committed a crime, therefore, she has to pay the consequences.
The same way her attacker will.
However, I see the charges against her being dropped.
I hope I am right.
More to come on this story soon.
