District Attorney drops felony charge against Texas woman beaten by bartender

I called it on yesterday.

I said that the charges will probably be dropped because of the nature of the case the fact that her attack was caught on camera and there’s no denying that this occurred, to charge her with a felony it’s just not moral!

In a rare move, the Dallas County District Attorney's office dismissed the felony charge and recalled the arrest warrant.

WFAA-TV in Dallas reports that usually if there’s a question about a crime occurring the District Attorney’s Office will take that case and present it to a grand jury but in this specific case, the D.A.'s office isn’t letting it get that far.

If you recall over 2 weeks ago in Dallas a woman was brutally beaten by a bartender in the Deep Ellum area of Dallas.

In retaliation for her beating, the woman, 24-year old  L' Dajohnique Lee vandalized bartender Austin Shuffield's vehicle with damages totaling over $2500. In the state of Texas vandalism over $2500 is considered criminal mischief a felony in Texas.

Shuffield, who was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawfully carrying a weapon, public intoxication and interference with an emergency call will appear in court April 12th in Dallas.
