Do not know about you, but my list of reasons I love living in Texas really dwarf the dislikes by a whole lot, and my biggest dislike when it comes to living in the Lone Star State is not even Texas's fault. The one border state that did not finish within the three worst did not exactly escape a poor ranking either, and for that matter neither did Texas. Texas was actually ranked as the 15th worst state to live based on its ranking in categories like:
- Safety
- Quality of Life
- Affordability
- Economy
In my opinion, if there is one thing that should safely keep Texas in the bottom 30%, the answer would definitely be infrastructure. The perpetual construction is annoying, but what do you expect when everyone is moving here all at the same time?
Texas Now Borders The Three Worst States To Live
The three worst states to live according to the new WalletHub data are:
- Louisiana
- New Mexico
- Arkansas
The fourth and final border state, Oklahoma managed to avoid the bottom 5, and is the 7th worst place to live. Was very surprised to learn that home ownership places Texas in the bottom 5 because buying our first family home was one of the most exciting parts to moving to Texas.
