The City of Killeen is offering free rapid COVID-19 testing and free Pfizer shots.

Killeen has been working hard to ensure the safety of their residents. According to KCENTV, the city was able to give 39 vaccines and conduct 1,309 tests. Out of those tests, 163 were positive cases. In order to lower the positive cases of COVID-19 the City of Killeen has put together a free drive thru testing and vaccine site.

Beginning Sept. 9 through Sept. 11 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. residents can pull up to the Killeen Special Events Center. This three day drive thru event will allow those who are interested in receiving the Pfizer Vaccine shot a chance to get theirs along with free rapid testing. The vaccine will only be available to those at least 12 years old but the rapid testing is available for any age.

No appointment is needed but please mindful that this is a while supplies last event.

The city added that it will have booster shots available for people who are immunocompromised with a doctor's note.

For more information regarding this event and other vaccine locations call 1-800-232-0233.
