The Voice returned to NBC last night with bad intentions.  Kicking the show off with a rocking rendition of Joan Jett's "I Love Rock and Roll", all four original judges showed off their skills and talents.

Music has so many different interpretations and different points of view, and that allows a show like this to really put people on stage that can express their true talent and love.  By forcing the judges to pick blind, it takes the whole marketing mindset out of the equation and lets the true talent shine through.

The show last night was a great one, but the highlight of the night was the fastest four chair turn in show history!  A 20 year old Michael Schuler took a break from his college career to perform for the judges and had them all begging for him to join their team after his performance of "Cough Syrup".

Overall, it was a great show and this season is going to be a definite watch.

For those of you that don't watch The Voice and don't know that there is also a UK version, here is one of my favorite performances of all time from the UK Voice blind auditions.
