I've been telling you guys about this waterpark for a while and finally, the day has come!

KVUE News reports that last Thursday, November 12, the Kalahari Resort sitting on 350 acres of land in Round Rock finally opened to the public.

The new waterpark has an African theme and will include over 950 guest rooms, including one to three-bedroom suites.

Kalahari Resort will not only feature acres of indoor pools with space for conventions and events, but it also has 10,000 square feet for retail space and will also house a spa and salon, six restaurants, pizzerias, and much more.

It will also include a state of the art convention center, an adventure park spanning more than 80,000 feet with rides, ropes, course climbing walls, zip lines, and more.

Oh, and according to KVUE, the resort is hiring right now.

It took so long for this place to be built and to open that we were nervous it might never happen, especially with the pandemic causing so many closures and delays. They stuck to their schedule though, and now there's a massive indoor waterpark and resort right here in Central Texas that won't take you an entire day to drive to.

Speaking of the pandemic, Kalahari Resort isn't ignoring it. They've got some safety and health protocols in place to make sure everyone can have a great time without stressing about the 'rona. Here's a rundown of what they're doing to keep guests and staff safe.
