A 19 year old man who's been on the run from Killeen police since March 4 was arrested Thursday in Memphis, Tennessee, and police say a tip to Bell County Crime Stoppers helped bring him in.

Torico James Devon Crutcher was wanted for Attempted Burglary of a Habitation. He was captured on surveillance footage in the area of Lake Road on the morning of March 4, 2016 – the same morning 33-year-old Bo Gene Swetlik was fatally shot on the porch of his home in the 4500 block of Lake Road.

Police haven’t said if Crutcher is a suspect in Swetlik’s murder, but connected him to the attempted burglary and believed he may have information about the homicide.

After receiving word of the tip to Bell County Crime Stoppers, they passed the information along to the U.S. Marshal’s Office, who located Crutcher at a Knights Inn in Memphis.

Crutcher was arrested on August 4 at 1:45 PM and transported to the Shelby County Jail to await extradition.

In a news release, the Killeen Police Department thanked everyone who contributed tips that helped them locate Crutcher.
