Top 8 Reasons Why Fall is Awesome!
Fall is officially here! Time to pack up your bikinis and pull out your ugg boots!
So yesterday marked the first official day of fall, which is one of my favorite times of the year for many reasons. From the holidays to the weather, there are so many things I love about this season! Below are the top reasons fall is awesome!
1) EVERYTHING IS PUMPKIN FLAVORED!
From pumpkin spice lattes to pumkin pie, fall means the return of some of our favorite treats!
2) COSTUMES
Halloween is the one time a year when kids and adults alike get a free pass to wear whatever costumes they want without judgement from their peers.
3) 13 NIGHTS OF HALLOWEEN ON ABC FAMILY
Speaking of Halloween, there are tons of old school Halloween movies on during October that make you feel like a kid again! From Hocus Pocus to Casper, I've got them all scheduled on my DVR.
4) FALL FASHION
Hello boots, sweaters, and scarves! It's been way too long since we last met!
5) YUMMY COLD WEATHER DRINKS
From the anticipated return of pumpkin spice lattes, to hot chocolate and apple cider, cold weather gives you the excuse to order your favorite warm drinks!
6) MACY'S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE
Since I was a kid, my favorite thing about Thanksgiving was waking up to the smell of turkey cooking in the oven, and the Rockettes performing on the Macy's logo in the middle of NYC! From the vintage floats to the celebrity cameos, the parade is what makes Thanksgiving holiday magical!
7) LOTS OF FOOD!
Turkey, stuffing, rolls, casseroles, AND pie? Yep, you're allowed and expected to eat as much as possible on this holiday!
8) CHRISTMAS IS ON ITS WAY!
Although tradition calls for Christmas celebrations to wait for Thanksgiving to end, I totally break this rule. Come November first, I've got Andy Williams blaring in my car, and Christmas lights on my porch. Sorry, not sorry.
