Tory Lanez may have been friends with 6ix9ine, but that doesn't mean he condones snitching.

In a new Complex interview that went live on Tuesday (Sept. 17), Tory expressed how he missed his former collaborator 6ix9ine. The timing was awkward as the interview was shared the same day that the Brooklyn rapper took the stand and testified against his former associates, leaving many to feel like Tory was overlooking and condoning snitching. On Wednesday (Sept. 18), he made sure to clarify his stance.

"Let's get one thing clear... I do not condone any form of telling, snitching, or anything of that sort," Tory wrote in a message posted to Instagram. "When I spoke about 69 it was 4-5 days ago (before him taking the stand)... I have real family that did real time becuz of this and I don't play about that at all... However I will say like I said, when he was out he was funny guy and a entertainer. And what seemed to be a genuine dude. And that side of him is the side I remember... One thing y'all not gone do tho is make it seem like I condone any talking on a stand or any kind of..."

In the caption, he added more of his feelings on the matter.

"Showing LOVE to somebody who you made records with is VERY different than CONDONING SOMEONES ACTIONS ... y’all blogs can CHOP up the interview and make shit seem interesting for your fans ... but watch the whole interview ... and don’t try to get me caught up in nun of that . FOH ..."

In the original interview, Tory spoke on his love for 6ix9ine and stated that he didn't know what was going to happen once the rapper is released.

"I don't know how he's gonna feel when he gets out of jail," Tory said. "I don't know what he's got going on in his life. Personally, whatever it is, music is music, bro, at the end of the day. However it happens for him. As a person, bro, and regardless of whatever he did, I kinda miss that guy. That was my nigga. He's a funny guy. As a person, he was a funny guy. Maybe niggas won't say that or won't say...I really just don't care. I don't give a fuck about how people view me. Niggas don't like me already. I don't care."
