What is going on at this apartment complex?
That's what police are trying to determine after responding to two reported shootings at The Villages in Waco.
Our partners at News 10 report that police were called to the apartment complex at 1106 North 6th Street shortly before 11:30 PM Friday after someone reported a shooting at one of the units. When police arrived, they found a man who was conscious and breathing. They haven't released his identity or his condition.
Investigators reportedly found shell casings at the scene, but have not said if they were found inside or outside of a unit or how many were present.
Police received two emergency calls Monday, August 9 shortly before 3:30 PM - one from the same apartment complex and one from North 17th Street and Waco Drive. A shooting victim had been transported from the Villages in a private vehicle. Emergency responders got them into an ambulance and took them to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center for treatment.
As with Friday's case, police were able to find shell casings at the apartment complex.
No suspects have been named, nor have any motives been made public. Police haven't said if the shootings are related outside of having taken place at the same complex.
A woman and a teenager were arrested at the complex Monday, but police say they were arrested for criminal trespass after having been banned from the property.
