A video of DJ Khaled has sparked controversy over whether he was throwing shade at Tyler, The Creator after coming in second to the Odd Future rapper on the Billboard charts. Though the Khaled video appears to predate the sales race, fans have run with it, and apparently so has Tyler.

The video at the heart of the issue shows Khaled posted up in the back of his Maybach. “I make albums so people can play it and you actually hear it,” Khaled said in the since deleted-post on Instagram. “You know, driving your car, you hear another car playing it. You know, go to the barbershop, you hear them playing it. You know, turn the radio on, and you hear them playing it. It’s called great music. It’s called albums that you actually hear the songs. Not no mysterious shit that you never hear it.”

The video came out before Khaled dropped Father of Asahd and Tyler released Igor on May 17, but some fans who didn't see it until after Tyler's album bested Khaled for the No. 1 spot assumed it was shade directed at Tyler. Even Tyler liked the post on Twitter.

"Wow, doing pretty good for some mysterious shit," one fan posted while retweeting the video.

"Yeah I am, Igor out now," Tyler responded.

Wolf has continued to take little jabs over the perceived slight from Khaled. Responding to an Instagram blog poll about who had the better album between Khaled and Tyler, Tyler jokingly responded, "Who TF listens to Tyler, The Creator?"

Speaking in third person, he also added, "His MSG show sold out but for real, I've never heard a Tyler song in my life."
