Video Shows Suspect in Killeen Star Mart Robbery
Police have released surveillance video of a (possibly) wigged man robbing a Killeen convenience store back in February.
The footage shows a man in what appears to be a purple wig entering the Star Mart at 104 West Elms Road at 7:43 PM on Valentine's Day, pointing a gun at an employee, then fleeing with cash. (We hate to make light of a very serious crime, but notice the suspect pushing the wrong side of the door while running away.)
In a KPD news release, Public Affairs Officer Ofelia Miramontez described the suspect as a black male standing around 5'10" tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds. He wore a black beanie hat with yellow trim, a Dallas Cowboys hoodie, and blue jeans.
It's unclear if that purple mane of his was natural or a wig.
If you recognize the suspect or know anything about the robbery, please contact Crime Stoppers at 526-TIPS (8477), bellcountycrimestoppers.com, or via the P3Tips app. Information is anonymous and confidential, and a tip leading to an arrest could net a cash reward of up to $1,000.
