Waco Summer Jam 2K13 Concert Canceled

With just under a week away from the date of the show, promoters for Waco Summer Jam 2K13 with Kelly Rowland, Kirko Bangz and Jonn Hart have canceled the show due to low ticket sales.

Promoter Edward Graham said only 96 tickets had been sold in the days 
after former headliner Chris Brown was dropped from the concert.

According to the Waco Tribune, Graham canceled Brown’s appearance at the end of July when the $25,000 cost of a special charter flight from Los Angeles to Waco, requested to accommodate the singer’s Friday court date in Los Angeles, proved too expensive to justify.

“Obviously, the damage was
done (with the Brown cancellation). We tried to overcome it, but just couldn’t,” Graham told the Waco Tribune. “I think it was a case of a horse traveling with bad news travels faster.”

Those with Summer Jam tickets can get full refunds where they bought them, either online, over the phone or at the Extraco Events Center box 
office.
