Less than a week after Billy Ray Cyrus joined Lil Nas X for a remix to "Old Town Road," Young Thug is teasing his own version of the Georgia rapper's breakout song.

Last night (April 8), Thugger hit up Instagram Live to tease the remix to his followers. Then, the Atlanta rapper posted a clip of his verse on the remix with Nas X. Thug doesn't have to write much in his IG caption for his fans to know what time it is.

" @lilnasx #ŸÈÉHÆ," Thug wrote.

After Billboard said the original version "Old Town Road" wasn't country enough for their Hot Country Songs chart, Lil Nas X's viral song went on to take the No. 1 spot on their Hot 100 chart. Speaking about to Time about the controversy revolving the classification of the song, Lil Nas X made it clear that he doesn't feel the need to say his song belongs to one genre or another. He also credited Young Thug for helping country trap.

“The song is country trap. It’s not one, it’s not the other. It’s both. It should be on both [charts],” Nas X told the publication. “I believe whenever you’re trying something new, it’s always going to get some kind of bad reception. For example, when rap started, or when rock and roll began. But with country trap, I in no way want to take credit for that. I believe Young Thug would be one of the biggest pioneers in that.”

Lil Nas X also confirmed the upcoming remix with his own emoji-based announcement. Although there's no confirmation of the official release date, Thugger hints that it could drop tomorrow. Check out clips from Young Thug's remix to "Old Town Road" below.
