So as you can tell, I have been quite the curious cat as it relates to discovering cool things about Texas.
Browsing the web (of course) and found a few towns with weird names in Texas that are actually pretty close to where I am sitting right now.
Ding Dong, Texas
Just south of Killeen here in Central Texas this town is named after two men who named their store...... Ding Dong.
Creative right?
Zipperlandville, Texas
Temple
Just east of you there is a town named after a family named Zipperlin.
Yup.

There was once a town named Big Lump, Texas.
Named after being a coal mining community, located northwest of College Station.
