    This is actually a TV show, which was filmed in Austin and Georgetown. "In the small town of Dillon, Texas, one night matters: Friday Night.   • Chinaman Wu-Ping: Stranger Out of Canton (2016)

    Chinaman Wu-Ping is the story of a martial artist raised near a Chinese monastery.The sacred Yodi manuscripts are stolen and Wu-Ping is sent to retrieve them. This movie is currently filming! It's being shot in Killeen and Austin, as well as Houston!

  • Chef (2014)

    A chef who loses his restaurant job starts up a food truck in an effort to reclaim his creative promise, while piecing back together his estranged family. Scenes from this movie were shot in Austin at Guero's Taco Bar and Franklin's BBQ.

  • The Rookie (2002)

    High school coach Jim Morris (Dennis Quaid) thought his dream was over. He'd had his shot playing baseball, blew out his shoulder, and retired without ever reaching the big leagues. Then, in 1999, he made a bet with his perpetually losing team: If they won the district championship, Morris -- who threw a 98 mph fastball -- would try out for the majors. The team went from worst to first, and Jim was soon on the road to becoming the oldest rookie in the major leagues! The Rookie was shot in Austin and Arlington, among other Texas locations.

    One of my favorite throwback comedies features scenes shot in Austin! The Chotchkie's restaurant exteriors were shot at 9739 Great Hills Trail and the Initech office exteriors were shot at 4120 Friedrich Lane in Austin. cenes were also shot in Dallas!

  • Where the Heart Is (2000)

    A pregnant 17-year-old rebuilds her life after being abandoned by her boyfriend at a Wal-Mart in Sequoyah, Oklahoma. This movie was shot at Baylor University in Waco,
    Taylor, Austin and a couple other Texas locations.
