254 United Hoops taking kids off the street in Killeen

Shout out to 254 United Hoops here in Killeen.

A non-profit 501 c3 organization that sponsors youth programs focused on providing a safe and nurturing environment where youths can utilize their talents in a constructive and positive manner.

Founded in 2016 by Rashid X Hines, this Amateur Athletic Union team's primary goal desire and passion are to provide a quality program that helps student-athletes excel in all areas of life.

They initially began 7 years ago as Stat Elite under an organization in San Marcos before they decided to branch out on their own.

The coaches of 254 United Hoops are all products from this area - Rashid Hines (DJ HIMSHAWTY) and Laterrion Taylor (MC Patna) are graduates of Ellison High School, Cortney Mitchell graduates of Shoemaker, and Dijon Wright a  graduate of Harker Heights High School.

Shannon Bogues, a former product of Stat Elite who graduated from Ellison High School is now playing Division 1 basketball for Stephen F. Austin University.

This summer the youth from 254 United Hoops play kids from different towns in Texas, Louisiana, and Georgia as they play teams on the summer circuit.

The kids are traveling this summer and 254 United Hoops are always looking for help from the community use this link to donate.
