Three people are dead after a plane crashed in the parking lot of a hardware store near Houston's William P. Hobby Airport Friday afternoon.

The single-engine aircraft went down around 1:00 PM and struck a sedan parked at an Ace Hardware mere blocks from the airport.

The Houston Fire Department confirmed three fatalities. No one was in the sedan at the time of the crash.

According to the Houston Chronicle, the plane is a Cirrus SSR20 operated by Safe Aviation LLC out of Moore, Oklahoma. Its flight began near Norman, OK at 10:11 am Thursday morning.
