Teamwork makes the dream work. Since joining forces to form Ceraadi, sisters Emaza and Saiyr have been on their grind. The Los Angeles-based dynamic duo with roots in Cedar Rapids, Iowa began previewing their creative potential with clips posted to YouTube that put their dance moves, skills on the mic and bubbly personalities on full display.

The multifaceted group, who in 2015 had a breakout appearance on Christina Milian’s reality show, Christina Milian Turned Up, continued to carve out their own lane with singles like “What Ever” and “We in There,” as well as their online presence. The Roc Nation tag team with 1.2 million YouTube subscribers and over 1.8 million followers on Instagram admit that their combination of sisterly love and creative chemistry is the key to their success. “We have twintuition even though we aren’t twins,” jokes the harmonizing sister, Emaza. “We’re like two peas in a pod,” adds the group’s designated lyricist, Saiyr, who gets the party started for Ceraadi’s What I Do freestyle.

“The massacre has occurred/All my personalities clashing, causing casualties, I’m mad at me/Why can’t I live happily/Instead, I’m more angry than a T-Rex trying to swat a bee,” raps 24-year-old Saiyr—the self-described lone wolf of the Ceraadi Gang.

Emaza follows through with some ill bars of her own. The 21-year-old raps, “Never thought I be on XXL/But I got a couple bars, so I’ll spit somethin' ill/While you kick back and cuddle up/I add the work and double up.”

Curated by moods and vibes, Ceraadi’s Playlist is the debut project from Ceraadi. The five-song EP, featuring the singles “That’s What She’d Say!,” “Loyal” and “Dumbstruck,” was crafted to soundtrack everything from the turn up to heartbreak. “We’re known for making lit playlists with different types of themes like In Your Feelings or Twerk,” says Saiyr. “It only makes sense that our first EP is called Ceraadi’s Playlist. Each song has a different type of mood.”
