Deadly Central Texas Road To Be Changed, But Will It Make A Difference?

The City of Killeen has proposed some changes for part of South Fort Hood Street, where there have been a string of deadly accidents, but would the changes really make a difference?

According to KXXV, Killeen has announced some possible changes to a portion of State Highway 195, where a soldier was killed last year. Some of the changes include, upgrade the signal light at South Fort Hood Street (SH 195) and Jasper drive to a newer model and a request that TXDOT enlarge the speed limit signs in that area to the new standard size. But city leaders haven’t addressed adding crosswalks and more lighting.
