Club Enclave in Killeen Has Interesting Fort Hood History

I’ve been hearing about this spot for a few months, I’ve even read commercials for it, but I'd never visited Enclave until this past Friday.

Man, was I blown away!

Many of you can relate to bar hopping in Austin, and going to the back of the club where another party is going on in the patio area.

This spot gives you an Austin-type feel right here in Downtown Killeen.

This is a grown and sexy spot, ideal for gatherings and events.

I was so impressed, I pulled my phone out and started recording! Just take a look at this place.

As you can see, there’s a nice patio area with an up and downstairs, plus an area for the outside bar with room for about 120 people.

Teddy Ross (owner of Enclave) says Enclave has been open since March 2020 - right when the pandemic started.

They immediately had to shut down, but reopened for Halloween 2020.

He describes Enclave as a drama-free establishment for the grown and sexy crowd of Killeen who don’t feel like making the drive to Houston, Dallas, or Austin to party in peace in a classy atmosphere.

The place has live music, hip-hop, and R & B, and has had great acts perform such as Stretch Musik Band, Distinguished Soundz, Michelle Marie, and Saxual.

They also offer great cocktails. Below are two of their specialty drinks called The Telegraph (left) and The Love letter (right).

The drink was named after what their location was known for between 1890 and 1940.

What also makes Enclave unique is its location, which played an important role in the lives of Fort Hood soldiers throughout the years.

According to Ross, between the late 1800s and 1940s, the location where Enclave rests is where soldiers from Fort Hood (known as Camp Hood in the early 20th century) would send messages or telegrams to their families about their arrival or travel plans.
