Did you know that if you live in Killeen you have to pay for your own sewer repairs??

A Killeen homeowner is upset about a little-known policy that requires residents to pay for the digging up and repair of lateral sewage lines feeding into the City's mainlines, even if the lateral lines are in the street and not on their property!

In the Court Case Pittman vs. The City Of Amarillo of 1980 it states that the city is responsible only for the maintenance of the sewer main and a letter received by the city of Killeen states that Lee Huggins, the homeowner, will have to hire a contractor to dig up the city street to repair the lateral sewer line, and that cost is over $10,000.

Please be mindful that you can be affected by this as well with YOU having to foot the bill!
