According to an announcement made by UPS Monday, it expects to hire about 100,000 seasonal employees to support an "increase in package volume" from November of this year to January 2019.

Personally, when I was 18, I went through the week training to work at UPS but never actually worked on the floor. After the training I got a job in radio and never looked back, but tons of people I knew worked at UPS!

They are a company that promotes from within. For example, the CEO of UPS, David Abney, and several other members of their senior leadership team started out as part-time employees and they all worked their way up!

According to UPS' data, 35% of people who started off as seasonal hires over the past 3 years have ended up in permanent positions after the holiday season ended. That means the odds are good that you could start off seasonal and end up building a career.

The perks include great pay and benefits, and part-timers are eligible to receive $25,000 in tuition assistance.
