Drake, YG and Kamaiyah Shoot ‘Why You Always Hatin” Video in L.A.
Drake, YG, and Kamaiyah were gathered in L.A. yesterday (July 18) to shoot visuals for "Why You Always Hatin'?" Both Kamaiyah (who is featured on the hook) and YG posted shots from the shoot on Instagram, which will apparently feature that Christian Bale Lamborghini (or one sorta like it at least). Drake sits on top of the matte black car during at least one scene. In another nighttime clip, YG and Drake overlook the city of L.A. while rapping on a rooftop.
"Why You Always Hatin'" is the single from YG's sophomore album, Still Brazy, which dropped last month to widespread acclaim after Compton native surprised fans with an early release. The album also features Lil Wayne and Nipsey Hussle. YG is currently on the Endless Summer Tour, with G-Eazy, Logic and Yo Gotti, which kicked off late last month and wraps in Hartford, Conn. on Aug. 5.
As for Drake, he's still riding high and winning. In addition to finishing the shoot for his song, "Child's Play" in Houston (the one where he argues with his girl in the Cheesecake Factory), his latest album, Views, has yet again returned to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 after being bumped to No. 2 for one week by Blink 182’s California. Views is now the 10th album in the last 20 years to spend 10 weeks at No. 1, which is great, seeing as how he admittedly owes his mom for all of those old eBay charges.
