Police in Temple are investigating after two men reportedly robbed a convenience store on Thorton Lane late Wednesday night.

Temple PD's Chris Christoff reports that offers were advised of the robbery around 11:15 PM. Witnesses said two men entered the Exxon gas station at 3002 Thornton Ln with a handgun and demanded money from the register. The two then fled the scene on foot headed west.

Thankfully, nobody was injured.

Police are still investigating and haven't released descriptions or images of the suspects.

Personally, I have to thank all the convenience store workers out there who put in long hours for low pay and have to deal with stress of knowing that someone could be waving a gun in your face any moment now. I don't think I could do it.
