Funkmaster Flex Claims 2Pac Shot Himself in the Infamous 1994 Quad Studios Robbery [VIDEO]

Funkmaster Flex doesn't have the power he once had to change people's careers by throwing bombs on their songs, but he's still found a way to involve himself in the hip-hop conversation. How? By sharing his always controversial opinions.

Take his latest theory on Tupac for example, which is that the late rapper shot himself during that 1994 robbery at Quad Studios in New York. Of course, as most people are aware of, Pac accused The Notorious B.I.G. of setting him up to be shot, thus, starting the long and very tragic East Coast, West Coast beef. Man, aren't you glad that whole thing is over with?

"You Pac fans always talking that talk," said Flex on Instagram Live. "Cheddar Bob came in there, popped himself in the leg. Popped himself first. That's what happened. He knew who approached him. He had a steel on him, 'cause he knew he had an issue out there and when they got there, they was just gonna take his jewelry They didn't even touch him. He panicked, pulled out the steel, shot himself."

Of course, Flex's theory isn't new. Village Voice writer Chuck Phillips stated the same thing in a 2012 article — that Tupac shot himself.

"I learned from the assailants that it was Pac who shot himself, accidentally in the ground during the scuffle with his own gun," wrote Phillips. "He got off only one round, they say, before they beat and pistol-whipped him to the ground, mercilessly and proceeded to kick him again and again. There were no witnesses to the crime, so Pac, they say, used poetic license to dramatize it, transforming the assault into an assassination plot, exaggerating the number of times he was shot and the severity of his wounds."

Regardless if Flex and Phillips' words are true or not, there certainly isn't a shortage of theories surrounding Pac getting shot, whether its the Quad Studios incident or the Las Vegas shooting that ultimately took his life.
