If Mexico border is closed this week, U.S. could have a produce shortage
If President Trump has his way by closing the border to Mexico, we could see a shortage of fruits vegetables and yes.... alcohol to the U.S.
Not to mention we would run out of avocados in three weeks if imports from Mexico were stopped.
Last week the president promised it was a very good likelihood he will close the border this week if Mexico continues to allow immigrants over illegally.
This also includes cucumbers, blackberries, tomatoes, and other produce.
According to Business Insider since the beginning of the millennium, Mexico has contributed to shipping 44% of imported produce the United States uses.
