Jay-Z is making boss moves in Hollywood. The Roc Nation mogul recently signed on to produce a Netflix movie called The Harder They Fall.

According to a report Variety published on Wednesday (July 24), the film will star rising actor Jonathan Majors, who appears in the critically-acclaimed movie The Last Black Man in San Francisco, with British artist Jeymes Samuel (aka the Bullitts) making his directorial debut on the project.

Insiders tell the entertainment publication that the movie bears some resemblance to The Great Gatsby in terms of its musical style. Hov and Samuel have worked together on The Great Gatsby soundtrack in 2013.

The film centers on Nat Love (played by Majors) who finds out that the man who killed his parents 20 years ago is getting out of prison. Upon hearing the news, Love reunites will his old crew to hunt his parents' murderer down and seek his revenge.

This movie news comes as Jay-Z is featured on The Lion King: The Gift soundtrack, which is curated by his wife Beyoncé. The veteran rhymer appears on Queen Bey's tune "Mood 4 Eva," which also features Childish Gambino, who plays Simba in the film.

On the song, Jay spits a line referencing his infamously awkward jet-ski photo that went viral on the internet. "Helmet, on a jet ski, you know the vibes," he raps.

In other news, Jay-Z has partnered with Meek Mill to bring Dream Chasers Records to Roc Nation.
